100-38-310 laser safety glasses are an light-weight comfortable black sport-warp frame with a glass laser filter. 310 laser filter was primarily developed for protection from laser wavelengths 800-900 nm offering high visibility when using diode lasers (808-815 nm). This laser eyewear may provide protection from other laser wavelengths not listed. Please see specifications for additional information about the frame and the filter, or contact us. Filter specifications are permanently engraved. These laser safety glasses meet and/or exceed US ANSI Z136 standards for use with lasers.

Optical Density: is a measure of the transmittance of an optical element for a given length at a given wavelength λ. The higher the optical density, the lower the transmittance of light at a specified waveleng. See the ANSI Z136 for more information about OD and laser glasses.

VLT is determined in relation to standard illumination and evaluated according to the daylight-adapted (photopic) or night-adapted (scotopic) conditions descriped more in the ANSI Z136.7 for Testing and Labeling of Laser Protective Equipment. The lower the VLT, the less "visible" light is transmitted. Laser glasses may affect the ability to see warning lights/signs or distinguis between colors.
